Groom-Wear or Party-Wear?

So what do you think? Is this suitable attire for a groom or a style-chic party crasher? Would you let your groom wear this?

Peacock themed Wedding

Peacock feathers really do their own work at creating a theme. They are elegant, and beautiful and make really lovely keep sakes for your guests.

It's a Blue Best Man's Asos Intervention

Blue is the next black! I have noticed it becoming a much more popular colour for the New Retro Classic couple. It is a classy yet cool look. With the braces and slim tie it is a definite mirror-pleaser!

Autumn's Crisp Weather and Crunchy Orange Leaves

It has been Autumn for a short while now, and the crispy fallen orange leaves that I adore about this time of year - have all met the torrential rain that is our London weather.
Despite the cold crisp weather and the sight of my own breath as white clouds coming out of my nose and mouth - Autumn is an amazingly transforming time of year as this Inspiration Board so brilliantly demonstrates.

Orange, brown and golds are the colours of this lustrous part of the year. This inspiration board illustrates the possibilities of an autumn wedding so Indulge!

Alternative Bridal Accessories

Source 1, Source 2, Source 3, Source 4, Source 5, Source 6

From Head Pieces to Gloves to Umbrella's?! Why not - it is the Alternative month!

Alternative Style Wedding Rings

Ring 1, Ring 2, Ring 3, Ring 4, Ring 5, Ring 6

I know what your thinking. These Are Rings - there's nothing Alternative about them! Well I should specifically mention that their style are styles which few of us would really ever think about. I know I wouldn't!

Everyone knows what their wedding ring and especially their engagement ring will look like! We just hope our significant others know that too!! Don't you just Wish Men Could Read Minds! Would make life so much easier. It seems we are getting a little off topic here! ...

So with the Alternative Month in mind I have rampaged Google images as much as I possibly could and out popped the above! My favourite is probably the first Knot type ring - definitely showing some symbolism! But the one next to it is superb! (Ahem Ahem)

Keeping you updated on the latest and possibly the most Diverse range of Wedding Style Tips!

Bridal REVOLUTION!! Real Weddings Feature!

If you are someone who is proud of being different rs Weddings would love to feature your wedding in our Alternative's month!

Break away from the norm Brides! This is the Bridal Revolution!

Alternative Wedding Centrepieces

Well I SAY!! I must have the best job in the whole entire world! Look at what I unearthed. Who said there's only one type of centrepiece for a wedding .. Flowers?! I see very few flowers in this post!

When a guest of yours walks in to your reception venue it is a must that you capture all their senses. From the aroma of the scented candles or flowers, to the lighting and soft music welcoming them in to the eye catching centrepieces they will gaze at all night long at their table.

There are some key features to think about when it comes to your centrepieces.
1. Ensure they aren't too big so your guests can't converse with the other guests at the table
2. From a videographers point of view, ensure it doesn't cover tables and your guests faces (unless that's the theme)
3. Make it exciting to look at - and if not exciting - Make it Beautiful! So if your guests aren't amazed by how it was made or the complete concept they are glaring at how spectacular they are.

And if you are trying to create a tantalising experience for your guests try being different.
If you still feel like having nature present at your wedding have some twig trees decorated with some sequin or beaded strings or using herbs to give out that scent and look pretty. Don't be like the last eight weddings I have been to.

Alternative Wedding Cake

Anything sweet is my middle name! In spirit of the Alternative Month, here comes our next segment of Alternative Wedding Madness!

Wedding Cake symbolically stands for the couple's fertility (It's a really long story) and a general beginning of the marriage as the cutting of the cake ceremony is the first step done together as a couple.

As a Wedding Planner I come across many different couples. Some of which love the traditional three-tiered cake but some couples don't even like cake - so as a Wedding Planner its up to me to be able to cater to this. So today I share with you some Alternative Wedding Cake Idea's!

You may want to skip the cake cutting idea and just have a luxurious dessert table or a sweet table.

Ohhh the Possibilities are endless!! Bon Apetite!

To carry on the 'Alternative' festivities .. here comes the bridal gown week!! I know everyone wants to wear the traditional white gown, but before Queen Victoria's wedding to Albert of Saxe-Coburg, white was not the first thought!

Re-invent the trend!! Be Brave!!

BHS Charity Tea Party Success!!

Just a quick post to say YAY!!! The 'Bhagat Hari Singh' Charitable Hospital - Women's Tea Party (Quite a Mouthful) Raised a total of £800!!!

The day, despite the rain, was a success!! There was donated home cooked food, little stalls of cupcakes, bric and brac sales and a raffle!!

All in all everyone had a great time drinking tea and raising a good amount of cash for such a good cause.

The money raised will go towards buying Physiotherapy equipment.

So thank you everyone who contributed your funds are definitely going towards a good cause!!
Tea Party held in Southall on Saturday 14th August

All monies collected goes directly to charity (BHS Charitable Hospital, UK Reg. 1132552, www.bhscharitablehospital.com, providing affordable healthcare to those in need in N.India.)

Hindu Wedding Mandaps - Super Gorgeous!

These breathtaking Mandaps are ideal for any Indian Wedding. The idea that they come in so many different styles, they can be customised with garlands and organza as well as coloured lighting which can transform one mandap to look like a completely new one, is perfect for inspiring each wedding to be unique and bespoke to the couple.

Mandaps are truly beautiful works of art. They traditionally were made of wood but now can be made from any modern materials. By hiring one out you can get sets of pillars supporting a frame, royal chairs for the bride and the groom, side chairs for parents and a pedestal for the sacred fire.

Check out your local Mandap Hire companies or contact us for recommendations!

Pie's Pie's Good for your Heart, The more you eat, the more you ...

Inspiration Board - Feather Crazy!

Crazy about feather? Theres nothing to be shameful about. It isn't tacky! In fact feathers are very symbolic in many different cultures: Native American's believe feathers to symbolise the power of the thunder God's, as well as the power of air and wind. (Not very Wedding related!). In Christianity, feathers represent virtues and in dreams they indicate innocence and a fresh start - spiritually.

Be Bold! Be Different! Don't be afraid to push boundaries.

I want to Sit within Arms reach of this Table!!!

There are two things I cannot go without ... Tea ... and Sweets ooh and Chocolate (Ahem - anyway)!

Great ways of customising your wedding start from this delicious table of goodies - I know I would love getting up from my seat every 3 minutes just to walk past this. Even the aroma you would get from having all this sugar in one place would set me in a diabetic fit!

Note to the wise: Be careful with outdoor summer weddings, i.e. garden parties or marquee weddings - Sugar attracts a certain annoying number of insects - some not very friendly!!

STYLE GURU: Perfect Bridal Shoes

You really need to love these open sandal bridal shoes. They remind me of a Greek Goddess!! Isn't that how we should feel on our wedding day?

I may be biased when I say these are the 'Perfect' Bridal shoes but they look so pretty, and elegant and completely sophisticated. They are definitely comfortable as I had the chance to try some of them on during the week. But as they say - you should wear your 'New' bridal shoes around the house to get into them so they aren't so tough and uncomfortable on the day!

Yay to Bridal Shoe Bliss!!
